Additionally, the non-conductive nature of the center disk provides electrical isolation, preventing electrical currents from being passed to delicate instruments which can cause inaccurate data readings or damage.

The inch and metric hubs can be interchangeable and combined into a single coupling as long as they have the same outside diameter.
