Our Oldham couplings are a 3-piece design, consisting of 2 aluminum hubs press fit to a center disk. These couplings are ideal for light duty industrial and motion control applications, especially those with parallel misalignment. They have the ability to protect more expensive machinery components, acting as a torque limiter during overload. Additionally, the non-conductive nature of the center disk provides electrical isolation, preventing electrical currents from being passed to delicate instruments which can cause inaccurate data readings or damage.
The set screw or clamp styles of our Oldham couplings are available with bores ranging from 4mm to 35mm. The inch and metric hubs can be interchangeable and combined into a single coupling as long as they have the same outside diameter.
